Overview
Moondream is a small, fast vision-language model for developers. The problem: how do you show what a new AI model can actually do when you have no marketing budget?
Role
On contract with Moondream, I built end-to-end demos and sample apps covering live video understanding, video annotation and search, segmentation, auto-labeling, computer-use automation with pointing, and a model comparison tool benchmarking against Gemini, OpenAI, and Claude.
I also represented the company at GitHub Universe, ran live demos for potential partners, and wrote documentation for model skills and industry solution pages.
Results
Demo content got over 1M organic views across platforms. Social following grew 3x during my tenure. Thousands of developers signed up for the platform, many directly citing the prototypes as their entry point.
