Chores.gg: Turn Chores Into a Game
AR app that uses real-time AI to detect and reward household tasks. Built in 3 weeks for Meta's developer competition. Won $50K prize.
Overview
Over 400 million people have ADHD, and routine tasks like chores are often the hardest part. What if those tasks felt like a game?
Chores.gg uses real-time vision-language models to see what you're doing and reward you for completing tasks. The reward system borrows from game design: variable reward schedules, the same mechanics that make games addictive.
Role
As co-creator, I handled concept, design, product direction, and AI integration spec. My partner Hayden Jackson built the VR experience. We shipped the entire app in 3 weeks, in our spare time.
Results
Won "Best Implementation of Passthrough Camera Access (PCA) with AI" in Meta's Horizon Start Developer Competition (Dec 2025). $50K prize, 2,890+ participants.
